Tatzu Nishi Installation, Columbus Circle
Part art installation, part 1970s Faye Dunaway disaster movie waiting to happen, a living room has been built surrounding the Christopher Columbus statue in Columbus Circle. It’s pleasantly un-crowded, offers views you’ll never have the opportunity to see again, and has this darling pink wallpaper (featuring hot dogs, Michael Jackson and Mickey Mouse) that almost makes you forget that the man who inspired the massive statue looming in the middle of the “room” nearly wiped out an indigenous people when he discovered America.
